Run, walk, or donate to help raise funds for children and adults with disabilities so they can enjoy Camp Cheerful in Strongsville. The camp, started in 1947 by three Rotarians, was Ohio's first fully accessible camp.
At A Most Excellent Race, campers from Camp Cheerful will kick off the event at Beaumont School in Cleveland Heights at 8:30 a.m. with their own "Camp Cheerful Classic" - a spirited short-distance race. At 9 a.m., runners and walkers will start one of four races: a 10K run on a flat, fast, single-loop course through Cleveland Heights and Shaker Heights; or a 5K run, 5K walk or 1-mile walk through a historic Cleveland Heights neighborhood. The event includes awards for top race finishers, fun family activities and refreshments.
For more information, to register for the race, form your own race team, and to make online donations, visit AchievementCenters.org/race or call 216-292-9700 ext. 226.
