"Creative Expressions in Fabric" an exhibition of quilts by members of Quilters' Connection will be shown on May 17-18 at Keljik Hall in Watertown. Quilters' Connection members are known for their use of fabric as an artistic medium resulting in an impressive show that presents quilts as an important art form. Many QC members are nationally known and will be represented in this show.
In addition to the main exhibit of over 150 quilts, there will be a second exhibit of a members' mini-quilt challenge on display and all pieces in this exhibit will be for sale for $10. A Boutique featuring hand-crafted items by members will be open during show hours as well. Families are welcome and for young viewers, there will be a Kids Korner featuring a scavenger hunt and fun prizes.
A striking contemporary quilt entitled "Conduit" will be raffled along with other smaller prizes to support the guild and its programs.
Keljik Hall is the in St. James Armenian Church at 465 Mt. Auburn Street in Watertown. Show hours are Friday and Saturday, May 17-18 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. Admission is $10, free for children under 12. There is free parking and the exhibit is handicapped accessible.
