"An expertly engineered comedy!"...NY Times.
"vastly entertaining... a show to treasure."...Deadline.
A Classic Theatre presents this production of David Lindsay-Abaire's hilarious new comedy, Ripcord.

Pulitzer-prize winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire has created a play of high-stakes hilarity and has said that the play "...harkens back to some of the great comedies about two characters of a certain age really going at it with each other... but what I loved about them was that they were all incredibly human." It's a battle of wits between two feisty roommates at an assisted living facility with nothing in common but a rivalry to make Bette Davis and Joan Crawford look like amateurs.

Directed by Deborah Dickey, the cast is headed up by seasoned actors Jan LoPresti-Beach as the dour and opinionated Abby Binder and Nancy Grote as the oh-so-cheery Marilyn Dunne. Also featured is Ashley Carter as Scotty, their patient but harried "referee." The cast is rounded out by Aaron Jockers, Julie Grayauskie and John Grayauskie, who join in the fun, scheming along with Bristol Place Senior Living Facility's most engaging residents.

Six performances at the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center located at 102 M L King Ave., on Feb. 22-23 and Mar. 1-2 at 7:30 pm with matinees on Feb. 24 and Mar. 3 at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at www.aclassictheatre.org/tickets or call Jan at 904-501-5093 for reservations.
