On November 8, 2019, at 8 p.m., the Hereford Entertainment Group in partnership with the historic Park Theatre will present Ruben Studdard Sings Luther Vandross. His Park Theatre debut will feature songs from his 2018 tribute to Vandross, including "Always and Forever," "Love Won't Let Me Wait," and "Power of Love."

American RandB, pop and gospel singer, Ruben Studdard rose to fame as the much-loved winner of the second season of American Idol and received a Grammy Award nomination in December 2003 for Best Male RandB Vocal Performance for "Superstar."
In the years that followed, Studdard or 'The Velvet Teddy Bear" as he was coined from Idol days, has released six studio albums, including his platinum-selling debut, Soulful, and the top-selling gospel follow-up, I Need an Angel. While well-known for his recording career, which has produced hits such as, "Flying Without Wings," "Sorry 2004," and "Change Me," he has also segued into a successful television and stage career. Most notably, he toured with Robin Givens in the comedy-drama I Need a Hug and in 2008 starred as Fats Waller in a national tour revival of Ain't Misbehavin, which spawned a Grammy-nominated soundtrack.
