Follow the yellow brick road to Hylands House this September as the National Flower Show goes to the movies and transports you to the land of Oz.
The House will be decorated throughout featuring fantastic floral designs with this year's theme: 'Let's Go to the Movies', with fascinating floral designs inspired from the silver screen. Award winning floral designer Mig Kimpton curates a wonderful explosion of floral designs filling the house, with flowers, foliage and fragrance.
The wonderful three-day event, celebrates the very best of gardening, home and lifestyle, it will be capturing the magic of the Wizard of Oz with an enchanting floral experience in Hylands House. The house will be filled with floral displays inspired by the ironic film. Visitors will also get the chance to meet Dorothy and her friends for interactive floral performances.
The show, which is in its sixth year, will be officially opened by Channel 4's Architect, George Clarke, known for his passion for architecture and for Old House New Home and George Clarke's Amazing Spaces, the famous architect will also take part in two live Q and A sessions at the Garden Talks Theatre, whilst he is at the show on Friday.
During the three days, Hylands House and its surrounding lawns will be filled with inspiration, flowers, plants and everything you need for your home and garden including the Outdoor Plant Village, a magnificent Floral Pavilion, the Food and Drinks Pavilion and well as a Home and Country Pavilion filled with a selection of original handmade giftware, jewellery and more – visitors can shop in abundance with hundreds of exhibitors at the show!
