Have you ever been stunned when someone in your world takes their own life? Or tells you about a person they know and were close to who committed suicide?
Come join the conversation led by a former therapist who is trained in the area of suicide assessment and prevention, and has firsthand knowledge professionally and personally.
Lori Robinson, New York State Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, retired from providing therapy in January 2018 to pursue other adventures. Lori is trained in ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) and Soul Shop, as well as Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Growth and Learning. In addition to a 33 year career providing therapy to individuals, couples, families and groups, Lori has been a Clergy and Congregation Care Consultant, trained in the Samaritan Institute Model. Lori has Safe Church Facilitator training as well. Probably more importantly however, Lori is a 2 time suicide survivor, losing both her father and a very good friend to suicide within 11 months.
